Electro-pneumatic system

Pleiger PEL-D2

One measuring system – two system advantages!
The PEL-D2 type combines the advantages of electrical and electro-pneumatic measurement.

  • Low-cost installation
  • Short measuring tube length
  • Connection in ring line structure for air supply
  • Contamination-free pneumatic level measurement

Components:

  • Safety valve PEL-C-S with air fine adjustment valve
  • Electronic level sensor (IP68)

Pleiger PEL-C

The origin of remote tank level gauging, equipped for the future. All measuring devices are combined in a central transmitter cabinet. This provides them with optimal protection against contamination and vibrations, and makes them accessible for easy maintenance.

Components:

  • P/E transmitter PE12
  • Pneumatic control block with test function, fine adjustment valve, control valve (for remote control)
  • Air flow meter
  • Diaphragm safety valve PEL-C-S

Radar level gauging system for tankers

Radar sensor

The main features of the non-contact Pleiger radar sensor are maximum resistance to chemical reactions due to the high-quality PTFE-coated antenna and the absolutely robust design under temperature and pressure fluctuations.

Advantages:

  • Non-contact
  • High-precision
  • Only one wetted material
  • No additional seal required
  • Additional focusing through conical design
  • Independent of temperature, pressure, and product properties
  • High chemical resistance and easy-to-clean antenna system due to PTFE coating

Multi-flange

By using the world's smallest radar device, the installation of the entire tank level gauging technology on a single ANSI 12″ measuring flange becomes possible. This means simpler engineering and installation, easier verification, and easier and more cost-effective maintenance.

Consisting of:

  • Compact 12″ deck flange
  • 95% / 98% alarm with vibrating level switch
  • Surface distance measurement with radar sensor
  • Tank pressure measurement with pressure sensor
  • Optional connection for manual sounding

Integrated solutions

Pleiger PCM for tank level gauging systems

The Pleiger Control Module System (PCM) combines several control and I/O modules connected to a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system via a fieldbus interface. Analog signals from level sensors as well as digital alarm contacts from limit switches can thus be transmitted directly to the system.

  • Input/output modules IO 8/8/4 to accommodate level sensors and limit switches.
  • Interface bus modules BI for serial connection to SCADA and visualization systems
  • Profibus DP and Modbus RTU data exchange protocol
  • Redundant data connection possible with additional bus interface modules
  • Short-circuit-proof outputs and overload-proof inputs prevent damage to the module
  • Display and diagnostic functions facilitate commissioning and troubleshooting
