Future-proof valve control: The EHS-SG actuators
The electro-hydraulic system of the EHS series, for quarter-turn movements, in conjunction with the Pleiger STK actuators, was specially developed for the remote actuation of valves such as butterfly and throttle valves, ball and plug valves, and throttle valves, and can be integrated into process control systems with minimal installation effort.
The actuators in the EHS-SG series are based on the EHS-D3 series and, equipped with an additional spring package, are expanded into a single-acting actuator. This combination always reliably moves the valve into the predefined fail-safe position. The EHS-SG is therefore an electro-hydraulic spring-closing actuator.
The EHS actuators, equipped with an electrically operated compact power unit and integrated position feedback, thus combine the advantages of electrical and hydraulic systems.
The electrical connection can be established via discrete signals as well as via a bus connection, making it suitable for Industry 4.0 and IoT applications.
